WELCOME TO THE DCI CLUB !

Introducing the DINTEK Installer Program

There is much more to cabling system performance than buying good quality cable and connecting hardware. In order to ensure that your system performs to it’s full potential, a structured cabling system needs to be properly designed, installed, and administered.
Because of these critical factors, DINTEK Electronic Ltd developed the DINTEK Installer Program, to offer training to our installers enabling them to install standards based structured cabling networks that would be able to take advantage of our comprehensive 25yr Warranty.
The DINTEK Installer, structured cabling training program provides a range of comprehensive theory and practical skills based courses on the design and installation of structured cabling systems and fiber optic cabling.

Audience

The primary audience for this course will be a Data Cabling Installer, Sales Professional working in the area of data cabling, or Network Engineer wanting to learn more about the specifics of LAN Cabling and it’s installation.

Prerequisites

While there are no set prerequisites, the participant should have had at least some installation experience and be familiar with the basic terminology surrounding network cabling.

As these courses are presented in English, a good understanding of this language is important.

Expected Outcomes

The DCI Training course is designed to prepare an installer for implementing networks that conform to the ANSI/TIA and ISO 11801 cabling standards and thus qualify for the DINTEK 25yr System Warranty. It provides an overall knowledge of the skills required.

The qualifying participant will finish the course with a good understanding about the basics of twisted pair cabling and fiber optics, the cabling standards and the installation requirements. They will also gain an understanding of testing requirements, test parameters, their importance and how to troubleshoot problems.

Course Types

The DINTEK Installer Training program contains different courses to cater to the needs of the installer.

DCI Full Cabling Course

Our flagship course is the DCI, "DINTEK Certified Installer" course, which is a three day event designed to prepare an installer for implementing networks that conform to the ANSI/TIA and ISO 11801 cabling standards and thus qualify for the DINTEK 25yr System Warranty. It provides an overall knowledge of the skills required to provide an end user customer with a structured cabling network and/or fiber optic cabling, that will perform to it's full capacity for up to 25yrs.

DTI Cabling Basics Course

The one day DTI training course is the "DINTEK Trained Installer" introductory course for those wishing to learn the basics of installing a structured cabling system in a fashion that adheres to cabling standards.
It provides the installer with the skills to install a DINTEK cabling system and be able to obtain a 25yr Product Warranty, which guarantees replacement of faulty DINTEK products over a 25yr period from the date that a cabling system is certified.

DFI Fiber Optic Course

The "DINTEK Fiber Installer" (DFI) one day fiber optic training course is an introductory course to the world of fiber optics. It provides the participant with a good understanding of fiber optic technology. How fiber optics  works, how the transmission of light as data works in fiber and how to install and test fiber. The course also contains practical workshops for mechanical and fusion splicing, and covers loss testing and OTDR testing and fiber link verification.
